How Keywords Affect Your Website Rankings

I was going through some posts in one of the very popular forums recently and saw to my surprise that some guy said he got ranked on the 5th position out of about 13 million results in google less than 5 hours after he got indexed. That, of course got me wondering. I took a look at the keyword he targeted and knew immediately that the keyword would never earn him a dime. Why, because he was targeting keywords no one was looking for.

These days, you will find that there are many people who will tell you that they can easily get indexed and ranked favorably high within 24 hours. I am not saying it is not possible. But the majority of the tactics are complete blackhat. So, how do you choose the right keywords for your website?

This takes a lot of thinking because sometimes what we think people should be searching for comes out as completely different from what they are really searching for. In the hey days, to was such a very heavy task to try and put yourself in shoes of your potential client or website visitor and think like they would. Of course this never works most of time because we really don’t know what is going on in their heads. But thankfully, there are lots of keyword tools online that you can use to brainstorm.

To rank higher, you would have to start using keywords that may not have huge volumes but are extremely targeted. These are often referred to as long tail keywords. If you are starting out, these are the keywords to target unless you stumble on a market that has not even been tapped at all. Use the keyword tools to determine what keywords to use. The keywords you are looking for are mostly 3-5 word phrases. Once you dominate these keywords, you will be able to rank very high in the search engines.

The internet is rife with information; both good and bad. However, recent developments have shown that people just don’t seem to care about he quality of information that they give out these days. In fact, it looks like people’s aims are just to get their websites up and running and without any content, rank highly in the search engines.

In the hey days, when the internet was still pretty undeveloped –compared to now- all you have to do to rank high was to keyword spam your website. The rule then was slam as many keywords as you can on the webpage and you have yourself a very high rank on the search engine.

Fortunately, things have changed. To rank highly, one of the important requirements you would need would be to load your website with as much content as possible. This content must be relevant as anything not related to your website will drop its rankings in the search engines. So, how do you get relevant content to add to your website? You can write articles or get them outsourced if you cannot write.

Writing articles based on our website’s theme won’t take anything more than 15 minutes. So, you will be able to write as many as four in an hour if you are fast. On the other hand, there are lots of Private Label Rights websites springing up these days. You could join any of then for a token fee of $49+. This entitles you to having access to a ton of articles that you can use every month on your website.

So, if you have a website that has an extremely low ranking, you might just want to buffer up the content on the website. With increased content addition, it would naturally rise through the ranks and gain more popularity.

A wireless broadband network refers to the wireless set of technological connections that link customers to an internet service provider without the use of land based cable lines. Wireless broadband is available in Internet cafs, local entertainment establishments, businesses, homes, government buildings, hospitals, and much more. With wireless broadband, you can access the internet without the use of traditional cable wires. It can be used by individuals and businesses that spend a great deal of time on the go traveling from one fixed location to another. It is also useful for people living in rural and somewhat isolated areas. The main use of the wireless broadband network is for connecting LANs to the internet that allows for the connection of services such as data, voice, and video, over the same pipe. Instead of linking to the device through a mesh of wires, the computer picks up transmitted signals from radio wave towers. The device receives the information and then this information is changed into a radio signal which is received by a Wi-Fi adapter located within the computer.

How does Wireless Broadband Work? Wireless broadband uses short-range radio waves to create a specified coverage area where computers can be networked without wires. The broadband network consists of a series of towers that are placed in the radio wave coverage area. This allows wireless service providers to deliver high speed internet access anywhere in the coverage area, without the use of cables and telephone lines that are normally associated with traditional broadband and dialup access.

The wireless network installation is plugged into a wireless router. You can fit wireless cards into a computer, either by opening the computer up and placing the card inside, or by plugging it in using a cable or a port. When you fit these cards and turn on your computer, a box should pop up that asks you which wireless network you want to connect to. Your router should automatically create a network. You choose the appropriate network which then allows you to access the Internet.

Users can purchase a PC card, laptop card, or USB equipment to connect a personal computer or laptop to the Internet by means of cell phone towers. To set up the hardware for a wireless network, you will require a wireless adapter, router and switch, and a wireless broadband modem. There are cables that have to run from the wireless broadband modem to the desktop. However, the actual Internet signal is broadcasted wirelessly and can be picked up by remote computers or laptops. Since wireless broadband is transmitted via radio waves, you should make sure that you implement secure passwords to ensure that people cannot illegally connect to your network and computer. It is essential that home users install the proper security measures

Wireless Broadband Benefits Wireless broadband has all the benefits of traditional forms of broadband. It consists of high speed internet, no need for land lines to access the internet, the convenience of accessing the internet anywhere that wireless is offered, no need for a technician installation, and the price is not any different than traditional network services. You can use your broadband anywhere and enjoy high speed internet access whenever you need it. Wireless broadband access is normally not any slower than using a modem.

As computer technology evolves and people are now becoming more mobile in their everyday lives, including their work lives, wireless broadband is becoming an essential means of communication.
