Students often ask, what exactly is science? Professors explain by discussing theories, proofs, laws of physics, observations, duplication of results, etc… Professors often pull rank on students when they argue a point with the professor on extending the professors definition of science. When this occurs the professor indicates to the student, You obviously do not know what science is!
Having had this scenario play over and over again, it would appear that those professors want to keep science for themselves. If they cannot answer a question or do not know the answer they will simply say, that is not science or that is pseudo science thus alleviating them the responsibility of answering the question. This is interesting indeed.
I have often thought science does not know what science is! Science is not condemning another who caries a different perspective, science is not character assonating another in a primate political way to put forth their ideas or concepts over another. Since is not attacking someone’s concept because it does not match with what another was taught, science is not publish or perish over real breakthroughs. Science is not who publishes first or whose name is attached. Science is not engineering. Science is not denying a theory until you can prove it is not possible. Science is not rhetoric, that is politics.
Although in observing all the above discussion about what science is not and it appears that in the real world of science one observing these behaviors might perceive it to be just that. But such social interaction which actually occurs in science is not science at all, unless you call it social science but most scientists claim that is not a real science and if so why don’t they practice what they preach and dump the rhetoric? What all these scientists and professor’s are doing is not science, it is disgusting.
I think I enjoy the comments on this subject by Bill Bryson, Matt Ridley, Stephen Wolfram and recently Michael Crieghton in his book Fear. In any case all you scientists out there need to dump the BS and get busy propelling the human race and forwarding the progression of the species, you are not fooling me and many are simply getting quite tired of games. Think on that why don’t you?

A number of people who have not had any actual experiences with a free numerology reading are bound to be full of questions regarding the amount and kind of information one can acquire from such activity.
Numerology is obviously about numbers. These are not just any numbers though but are numbers that are significant in an individual’s life. These numeric digits that signify important details for an individual can actually be an opening for further exploration about one’s identity, personality and even one’s destiny. To understand more about oneself, it helps to understand these numbers first.
To get a better idea at how Numerology works, it would be good to start off with the most essential numbers in an individual’s life. They are the following.
The birth date number – This shows how an individual does things in the world. It is all about how one lives life, interacts with the world and everything in it as well as in how one develops the abilities developed in life as well as those that one is born with. Daily routines can be explained by this number.
The name number – This is not just about the name though since a lot of people can share the same name. It is all about how the name number works together with one’s attributes such as one’s potentials, inborn capacity and the likes.
The heart’s desire number – This is taken from certain letters in one’s name and can provide explanation for one’s favorites, preferences and everything the heart longs for. When combined with the other significant numbers in one’s life, this can serve as a guiding light towards determining one’s purpose in the world.
The birthday number – This is probably one of the best digits that can help understand one’s complete personality. It can also be a great tool for determining and fulfilling what one desires and what one is intended to do.
Understanding these four numbers is the most useful thing an individual can get from a numerology chart reading. It can give one a chance to make improvements in life.

The word stationery according to my dictionary is an all encompassing word that means anything pertaining to writing, including paper, envelopes, pens, books, newspapers, ink etc. I thought the word ‘stationer’ would have some kind of interesting beginning, but it is simply an old Latin word for shopkeeper.
It’s one word that many people have a problem spelling too – the way I always remember it is that it is spelled with an ‘e’ and the ‘e’ stands for envelopes. In Britain we used to call shops that sold stationery, pens, books, etc., “stationers”. I used to think it a bit odd that chain stores like WH Smith who started out as ‘stationers’ ended up having their stores outside of stations!
Stationery stores realized at the start of the internet age, that if they didn’t keep up with the times, their businesses would be doomed. The sale of fountain pens had already started declining with the introduction of plastic biros and that, I think, started the decline in the standard of handwriting.
But today pens have gone from simply being a means of writing, to tools that make it fun to write again. Children love gel pens and glitter pens, in all kinds of colours. To keep up with the times, the major stationery stores have had to become like mini-office supply stores, and sell printer paper, ink cartridges, software, and a selection of things for the ‘home office’.

There are two major different types of art galleries, but once you get past those two distinctions, there are as many different types of art galleries as there are types of art.
Art gallery is the name given to a place where some type of visual art is displayed. The two different types of art galleries are the art museum and the contemporary commercial art gallery. An art museum is usually publicly owned and is not in the business of making a profit, but rather displaying and preserving art. It also exists to educate people about art. Some examples of famous art galleries in the United States are the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C, and the St. Louis Art Museum.
Contemporary art galleries or commercial art galleries have the purpose of selling art rather than simply displaying it. There are as many different types of these art galleries are there are types of art. Many of these galleries are just in the business of selling works of art and will offer pretty much whatever is available. Other art galleries tend to specialize in one type of art or another.
The different types of commercial art galleries include rental galleries and co-op galleries. The rental galleries rent space to artists for the purpose of selling their art. They are not as common as the galleries that retain more control over their offerings to the public. The co-op gallery is usually run by a group of artists that share the expenses of operating the gallery in exchange for the opportunity to exhibit their work in it.
Another way of looking at the different types of art galleries is the subject matter and form of art work exhibited. Certain galleries might offer only local art, or modern art. Some may be themed art such as historical art or wild life art. They may offer only religious art. Some galleries specialize in regional or national art. For example, Asian art might be the theme for a gallery or European art. Some galleries offer only photographs or sculpture.
Regards of the type of gallery, the purposes of the commercial art gallery are to get art in front of the public. This is not done so much for educational or purely art appreciation reasons, but to make sales and profit. This statement is not intended to make them sound overly crass. Art galleries have encouraged the progress of art by providing opportunity to artists to exhibit their work and make a living. It might be said that the art museum is the place for the art of the past and the art gallery is the place for the art of the future.
